Palliative geriatrics as a holistic, interprofessional care approach aims to enable a good life for multimorbid, very elderly people with and without dementia until the very end. To achieve this, the principles of geriatrics must be combined with those of palliative care in practice, which requires professional and communicative competencies and effective collaboration in a multiprofessional team. The needs of elderly, care-dependent people, our possibilities and limitations, as well as conflicts and challenges in everyday implementation, will be addressed at the conference from the perspectives of various professional groups in presentations and further explored and discussed in various workshops.
The professional conference is aimed at medical, nursing, and care professionals, therapists and pastoral workers, as well as managers who engage with this topic.
